A Day In My Life
How I Stay Productive
Hi friend 👋🏼,
I’m tagging on from my last newsletter with my ode to Blair Waldorf, I restarted Gossip Girl and Queen B never disappoints. "Destiny is for losers. It's just a lame excuse for letting things happen to you instead of making them happen." Blair Waldorf’s words resonate with me on a deep level, especially as someone who refuses to let life pass by without grabbing it by the horns. I’m the type of person who wakes up every day with a plan, a purpose, and the drive to get things done. While life isn’t always easy or straightforward, especially when juggling multiple responsibilities across different time zones, I’ve learned that maintaining a structured yet flexible routine is key to staying productive and fulfilled.
Here’s a glimpse into a typical day in my life at home, where I strive to make every moment count.
Early Riser: The Struggle and the Reward
My day starts early—usually around 5:00 or 5:30 am. Let me be honest: it’s always a struggle. The bed is warm, the world outside is quiet, and the temptation to hit snooze is strong. But I’ve learned that getting up early gives me a head start on the day, allowing me to carve out time for myself before the world wakes up. This is my golden hour, a time when I can focus on what I need to do to set the tone for the rest of the day.
Morning Workout: A Non-Negotiable
Once I’m out of bed, it’s time to move. Whether it’s a class or a solo session at my apartment or hotel gym, a morning workout is non-negotiable. Exercise not only keeps me fit but also boosts my energy and clears my mind. It’s my way of preparing for whatever challenges the day might throw at me. And yes, there are days when I don’t feel like it, but I remind myself that consistency is key.
Beauty Routine: Less is More
Post-workout, I jump in the shower and follow up with a minimal beauty routine. I’m all about efficiency, so I keep it simple—mascara and a good lip mask are usually enough to make me feel put-together. This quick routine leaves me feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day without spending too much time in front of the mirror.
Breakfast and Planning: Setting the Stage
By 7:45 am, I’m sitting down to breakfast. This is my time to fuel up, journal, and go over my schedule for the day. I’m a firm believer in the power of planning, so I take this time to make sure I’m clear on my priorities. I also use this time to do any light cleaning—making the bed, starting a load of laundry, or putting away clean dishes. These small tasks help me start the day with a sense of accomplishment and order.
MBA Hustle: Sharpening My Mind
From 8:15 to 9:00 am, it’s all about the MBA. Whether it’s homework, reading, or prepping for a class, I dedicate this time to advancing my education. Balancing work and school is no joke, but I know that every bit of effort I put in now will pay off in the long run.
Corporate Girl Mode: The 9-to-5 Grind
By 9:00 am, I’m in full corporate girl mode. My workday is busy, structured, and focused, but I always make it a point to take a break around midday. This break is sacred—I use it to take a walk, listen to a podcast, and enjoy a light lunch. It’s a small but important ritual that keeps me grounded and recharged for the rest of the day.
Evening Hustle: Femme Force and Beyond
The workday officially ends around 5:00 pm, though let’s be real—“officially” is a loose term. On a typical evening, I dive straight into my side projects. This could be anything from working on MBA assignments to creating content for Femme Force, writing newsletters, or cold emailing for speaking gigs. I’m always doing something to move my goals forward.
Dinner and Relaxation: Balancing Work and Play
Evenings are a mix of productivity and relaxation. If I’m not attending a board meeting or a social event, I’m at home, enjoying dinner, watching TV, or engaging in ROT (random online things). I try to keep a healthy balance between work and play, but no matter what, I’m always busy. And I love it that way.
Social Butterfly: Staying Connected
Of course, life isn’t all work. I make time for friends, whether it’s dinner, a cute local event, or just catching up over coffee. These moments are important—they remind me that life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, not just worked through.
The Power of Being Busy
Kim Kardashian has talked a lot about being busy over the past few seasons, and I completely resonate with her message. Being busy, challenging myself, and doing all the things in all the places makes me feel fulfilled. It’s not about filling my time for the sake of it—it’s about building a life that’s rich, full, and meaningful. I’m always working towards something, always striving to become a more powerful woman.

Being busy isn’t always easy, and it certainly isn’t for everyone. But for me, it’s the key to a fulfilled life. I wake up every day with purpose, I challenge myself constantly, and I never wait around for things to happen—I make them happen. After all, as Blair Waldorf said, “What I want, is to become a powerful woman.” And that’s exactly what I’m doing.
Being a Scorpio Queen with the same birthday as Blair Waldorf herself, I feel a deep connection to her drive and determination.
