Tips and Tricks for Doing It All

Trim Things Down
👗 Quarterly closet clean out (on the calendar)
📧 1st of the month email unsubscribe. The amount of junk email I get that isn’t filtered because I randomly wanted that 10% off so I signed up is insane. So once a month, on a weekday, I let my inbox build up all day and then at the end of the day sit down and unsubscribe to anything I no longer want to get.
🗓️ Look at 3 months ahead in your schedule at the beginning of every month, this way you can see if you are going to need some self care time or extra friend time one week because of a crazy work week prior.
✍🏻 I write EVERYTHING down. If I have a random thought like “I need to call about a prescription”. I write it on my phone on my reminders task sheet. This way no thought is ever not placed down. My task lists consist of:

These are things I typically want to complete in the year. Like “learn to play chess” or “create travel photo books from pictures”

If I ever hear of some far off land I didn’t know I wanted to discover I write it down.

Walk past Louis Vuitton and see that bag that I know must be apart of my life? All. The. Time. Is it the right time to buy it? Probably not at the moment. So what do I do? I will write it down. So if I hit a financial goal or want to buy myself something nice I know exactly what I want.

Read about them, see them on instagram, walk by them. Write it down.

💙 Shows/Movies To Watch
🧳 Travel packing. This is something I get asked about all the time. Sometimes I travel for 3-8 weeks in a row. To multiple places, countries even. And the climates or type of trip can be different. How do I manage all this? You guessed it. A packing list. I keep a running list of all of my trips and have a calendar reminder (SHOCKING) to update it biweekly. I then have the basics I always take: toiletries, sneakers ext. And then have other lists for international travel that include: adaptors, passport, ext. I then put the type of clothing or items I need based on the trip. One thing that is AMAZING so that I do not overpack? Rent the Runway has been a game changer. I order clothes for wherever my first stop is to my home and pack the clothes and garment bag in my luggage. Then if my next stop is domestic I have a new round of clothes shipped to the hotel I’m staying at. From there I ship back the clothes I don’t need anymore and proceed on my way with my new clothes. It saves me time, overweight bags and in general knowing I will always have something to wear.
So this is all A LOT. And I know I do it to myself. So what else do I do for myself? I call them “burnout trips”. I schedule a weekend every 3 months where I go somewhere warm for a 3-4 day trip and I recharge so that I don’t burn out. This weekend is in my calendar so that nothing gets scheduled that would need to ‘get done’ during this time. I sleep in every morning, download all the SMUT genre books, book all the spa appointments, I read by the pool or beach, I eat dinner at 5pm, watch some kind of trashy vampire show and go to bed by 9am. This recharges me for the next 3 months and allows me to give myself the self care I both need and DESERVE.
